Great weather for 10 days but poor weather coming, so time to end the Holiday.

Nice end of the sunny season trip Ted. You made the most of this last week for sure. We drove up to the Wilkerson/carbon river area of Mt Rainier yesterday as our final drive. Probably the last drive on carburetors as I plan to pull the car off the road and continue the EFI conversion process. We hope to explore some of the same roads you hit this year next summer... I hope I hope I hope!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Here is a little inside story on Ted's recent Eastern WA drive. Ted and I share a love of backroad driving, like maps and have a questionable sense of humor. Like Ted, I took off about the same time to enjoy the great fall weather but on my motorcycle. Just as the sun went down I saw a green roadster(S2000 powered) going the opposite direction near Pullman, WA. I turned around but gave up the chase when he started passing other cars as I needed to find a place to camp before it got completely dark.
Over the next week we exchanged many photos by text showing cool things we found or sharing info on new roads. It is kind of a game of guess where I am and have you been here. Many barns, bridges, buildings, signs and roads later, we are both back home. We are meeting up tomorrow to compare notes.
Sorry no roadsters in my photos but here are some of the places we shared.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
On Saturday I attended the Breakfast Club Rally in Santa Rosa, CA
Here is my report, but read below for roadster-specific content
https://www.zcarblog.com/2020/10/12/eve ... rally.html
I joined Raj in "Spike" and drove 100 miles just to get to the rally start. Neat Sunrise:
Raj snapped this shot of me:
The rally begins with a cars and coffee (unofficial) and I was pleasantly surprised to see a few other roadsters/Datsuns. Most notable was this one:
If you haven't been a member since about 2002, this is Travis Rowe's SPL. I haven't seen Travis in about 18 years! Well today we saw each other. It was rad to catch up. He still has this car and still daily drives it! Remaining a total sleeper with nary a hint of the SR20DET underhood. Hardly cleaned (ever) it has burned rubber marks all on the fenders:)
A '69 SRL:
and of course Spike!
I joined a group of Porsche 911s on a route through Skaggs Springs, while Raj enjoyed the BCR route to the coast. It was wet but so much fun. Beautiful country out there.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Roadster Drive Today. Thursday. 10-15-20. To the Columbia River at Vantage. 304 miles.
One of my regular favorite Fall drives. Nice clear crisp sunny day. First snow on the higher Peaks at Snoqualmie Pass.
South a bit to Wanapum Dam and then up and down Beverly-Burke Rd to Hwy 26.
This 6+ miles of recently resurfaced road is very smooth with little traffic and high speeds are required.

Ok If you are a diehard fan of the old Cadillac , look away ... saw this in a farmers field about 85 km nw of Edmonton Alberta.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Following a long-overdue car wash I took her out for quick drive to dry. Even 15 minutes cruising around was enough to make me smile. I love this roadster. It was like with every gear shift the roadster was telling me "thank you".
