1967, 1600 Fuel Pump Parts Numbers?

Post by DAC21 »

I believe the most common parts for rebuilding the mechanical fuel pumps can still be order directly through Nissan.
So far I have found Diaphragm p/n 17053-32201, upper gasket p/n 17076-13211.

But I'm having trouble figuring out the part numbers for the one way valves, and there corresponding gaskets. Also the bottom boot shaped gasket that the T fitting of the diaphragm shaft goes through.

I found an exploded view of what I believe is a 1970's Datsun 310 fuel pump and it looks the same as the Roadster. The fuel valve part number is 17065-M0110 which replaces the following discontinued p/n 17065-13210, 17065-50001, 17065-52600, 17065-58000.

Any thought if this is the correct p/n for Roadster fuel valves? And as mentioned the valve gasket and that bottom boot part number would be great as well.

Thanks

Thanks,

I had been in that section, but I finally put the phone down and looked on my Desktop and alas I found the Fuel Pump section.
Looks like I'm good on the Diaphragm and Valves. The Oil seal (17048-38700) is no longer available nor the Valve washers (17061-50000) from Nissan. But they are available in Vendor kits so there has to be some cross reference somewhere. Seems on some thread I was reading a few weeks back that someone (possibly you?) found some compatible fiber washer that worked on the valves. I'll do a search and see if I can track that down.

I think you can match up the fiber washers at Ace Hardware, DIY, or maybe Home Depot etc.
Re valves, you can always see if the 510, 620 etc or other valves are the same by going to Nissan to see if they have them to compare. I bet they are.

No the valves I'm golden straight from Nissan. It is the bottom boot seal that I need to check around for with other models. Rallye has it in there kit so it is out there. May not even really need to be replaced.

Thanks, Dennis

Possibly but the new boot style gasket part from Ralley looks different from the OEM part. At least from the the YouTube video I saw of a rebuild on a 1968.
Throttle Grotto.

Something was found by Ralley to make due, it wasn't replaced on this YouTube video. Also it doesn't appear the Valve gaskets were replaced as new ones don't appear to come on the new valves, hey the guy had to wing it for the camera hoping you wouldn't notice I guess. It looks like the Original rubber OEM valve gasket that appear to be attached to the old valves in the video get replaced by fiber washer??

I'm in the same boat as DAC21. Got al the parts to rebuild my 411 SSS pump, but the kit I received is missing that lower oil boot.

Guessing it's pretty important, but perhaps someone else can chime in with any clarification?
