68 2000 w/1600 & 4spd

Post by JollyGQ »

I'm looking at a 68 that has been wrapped, has a good interior and looks to be straight. I havent gone to see it in person yet but it looks like a soft top only. The title is a rebuilt title. The seats may not be stock, but are nice and it comes with a roll bar. The body vin plate states it is a 2000 but it has a 1600 with a 4 speed. By all appearances it looks like it needs minimal work, if any, to be a regular driver. He said it has new brakes, new clutch and new tires on non-stock rims. If it runs and drives solidly, what would it be worth?

Just trying to get an idea of a price range. Thanks!

Really impossible to say without more details and pictures. What was the extent of the rebuilt title? What’s under the wrap? So many questions so little information.

Yeah, theres no good pictures of it. I just wanted to get an idea of value of a car with those features that is pretty much ready to drive. I figure when I go see it then I can figure it out from there. I just need a starting point. I'm assuming the frame and body are straight with no bondo fills and no mechanical issues. It's supposed to have new brakes, clutch and tires. The clutch I'd just have to take his word on. I guess I'll just wing it.
