I have the 15-piece Body/Frame Pad Kit from DatsunParts.com.
There are 14 mounting points.
Should the body-to-frame mount points in the engine compartment require two pads, or just crank the bolt down? The other 12 locations were fine with one pad.

Re: Body to frame pad thickness
Usually only a single pad but if you find the body to chassis gap is larger there is something else wrong.
I wouldn't crank the bolt down for fear of distorting the front of the body

Nissanman, just trying to help.

Make sure the car is level. Loosen up all the other mounts and see if that helps and tighten them all progressively all around the car. That may help.
Just a thought. There might be some tightening sequence someplace but this is just based on how I would do it.

Re: Body to frame pad thickness
We installed the four "corner" bolts to secure the body to the frame before moving it back to the garage where it's level. Then did bolt by bolt, but not sure in what order.eye wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2020 6:57 am Make sure the car is level. Yeah, my plan now is to loosen them all, then start over. Was easier with two people to lift body ends. Will have to use a jack to do it myself.
*heavy sigh*

Maybe someone here has a better way. That was just how I would (did) do it when I put mine together

Pete, I would ask Dave, his car is pretty virgin. Pat
