Carpet kit tunnel too small?

Post by Trav »

Finally getting around to re-doing the interior. I laid out the tunnel portion today, and realized it's way too short? Does this stuff shrink? Did I get the wrong kit YEARS ago? Anybody know if I can just re-purchase this portion if needed, everything else seems to be the right size.

This is interesting. Check out the other carpets to see if it's as short too. If so, perhaps you go the kit that works for the 63/64 which has the larger rear deck and the battery tray.
In a pinch I bought matching carpet from an auto upholstery shop and made my own from the orginals.

Everything else seems to be a perfect fit. Very strange! I may just go that route and get matching carpet to fab something up for the tunnel.

The 63/64 has a much shorter rear deck since the 3rd seat is there. The tunnel is longer.
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......
