I need help refurbishing my tach (1970 2000). Any suggestions before I start taking it apart?
Thanks,

Re: Tachometer Refurbishment- Disassembly Help
Thanks. I'll reach out to Jon.
My tach doesn't read at idle but seems to work 'fine' above 1000 rpm. I'd like to disassemble so I can clean it up, repaint the orange/red color bands and also reseat the turn signal 'green' plastic pieces.
I am afraid to take the needle off so I can slide the internal mechanism out.
