and I think Satin Pear White like this car would look awesome on a roadster

A high quality wrapping job for a roadster is around the equivalent of 2500$ USD, what I mean by high quality is all trim and external accessories removed and complete wrap including door interior and door jams. Using 3M or Avery Wrapping film

This first video show a regular wrap that is surface only

This one show the proper way and what I would get done by these guys

The Mitsuishi diamante 97-8
Had a gorgeous white pearl paint

just up at a Mc Ds ,there sat a new lambo a satin finish drab dark bronze
maybe the paint is extra. $$ ?

Another wrapped roadster, the Miatsun. Did it myself, BRE approved. First car I have ever done. Watched a few Justin Pate videos and then did it. Clean is the key.

Nice! So I've been contemplating a wrap myself. Did you use 3m 1080 and how many feet did you end up purchasing? It looks to be quite fun to do.

To wrap the Miatsun took 11 yards. I used the Avery Dennison from Fellers.com. From all that I read, it is easier to use than the 3M. The key is to use very little and low heat, if any at all. The less you stretch it the longer it lasts. Works out to be less than $2.00 a square foot. Cost me about $275 total to do the car, including numbers and stripes. Easy to repair too in case of any on track adventures..

Good to know for future reference. Also looking for a tip on our cars. Since the roadster has the area just aft of the rear bulkhead and forward of the trunk lid, how could that area be tackled without a seam? Most newer cars like the Miata don't have that and it's easier to wrap in one piece. It seems I'll have to wrap 2 rear sides aft of doors and meet in the middle? Most newer cars have a trunk lid that meets the rear windscreen so easy to just do 2 sides then trunk lid and then rear bumper.

@n2knsx
if you are getting a full restoration, couple of things to be present to:

1) The rear fenders are 'leaded' into the rest of the body at the trunk. Typically a small crack develops at the top left/right corners of the trunk. Might consider strengthening those corners underneath to avoid cracks developing. Similarly at the rear of the 'vent' windows.

2) there is a tendency for the trunk floor to crack cos the fuel tank is attached to the floor at the back and develops stress cracks. Minimally, connect the 'J' hooks to the chassis.

I'm scabbing onto this old thread rather than starting a new one.

I've been doing so much metal work on my car that I figure I might just change the exterior color-keeping the same interior (which is red seats and grey carpet). So my choices are 1) keep it black, 2) go silver or 3) pearl white. Has anyone here seen a roadster (or have pictures) in pearl white? I think the metal flake would accentuate the lines of the car. I really like these cars in silver, but my Z is silver, so I thought it would be nice to keep this car different.

Ever liked the multi size metal flake over large size metalic possibly multi colored. ...it is very showy , I cant take my eyes off one when I see it

thats not a bad thing driving a 311 with 2 -4 x size rides racing around
