Wether is two feet or two miles, doesn’t matter, it’s a great feeling to have your project move under it’s own power again. Sounds like it’s going to be a stunner!

Old enough to know better, too old to remember why!

Absolutely! Such a great feeling... also I've always wanted this car to look/feel great but never wanted to reach for concours level. I want to drive it and just enjoy it without worrying about adding miles or getting minor scratches/chips on the bottom bumper when driving. So all in all I am really happy with how it looks so far.

I'm interested to see the rear with the gold straps and the exhaust etc. I can wait until you're ready!

Thanks Greg! Hey I tried looking for pictures of your roadster but I couldn't find it. Can you send me a link to your members garage or do you have an album with pics of your roadster? I want to see what you did with the black/gold combo.

I’m not known for smiling much, but when I first drove mine again after 35 years I had an ear to ear smile on my face! Maybe even a tear in my eye.
I'd love to take all of the credit but a HUGE part of this successful start up is b/c I actually purchased the small block motor off Jim Tyler - Datsun Restoration Products. Not only does he create A+ quality products, but he also has probably the most patience in answering any question I had.... and still have lol. He has been a huge help from the time I purchased my Datsun over 2 years ago.

Not sure if this is ok based on forum rules (if so please delete) but I am going to plug in the DRP website here even though many already have it saved haha....

Thank you Nick, Glad to help! Gotta give credit to Lynn as the business person who manages all the parts and projects, I just tinker in the garage these days!

About to go to bed now but not before I add the latest update...

I had my first test drive the other day!!!

I’m very excited and fortunately I decided to record it too. I just posted it on YouTube.

Thanks Greg!!! I used to kick myself in the butt choosing black (I was also contemplating a gun metal grey) - but now seeing it I am really happy with the results. But I also really really like seeing these 311s in a dark grey/metallic grey.
