Hello all,
I'm trying to cross reference before I order this part for my 69 U20 radiator.
The tech wiki lists Dorman 61114 as the replacement. When I go to various auto parts listings to online order it states that this part will not fit my car.
If a store had it in stock I would just pick it up and try, but since they have to special order it I thought I'd double check to save us both time and effort.
Datsunparts.com has it but not open until mid May
It's the simple plastic wing nut looking plug at the bottom of the radiator.
Can anyone confirm success with this as the correct replacement?
thank you,
Leo

Re: 69 radiator drain plug fitment
personally, I HATE that efn wing nut. as you open it is sprays coolant like an over excited puppy that hasn't gone for ages.
I had a dorman coolant drain plug braised into the bottom of the radiator. Just like the earlier ones. yup, ya goota drain the coolant, bt then just fill it up again.

I'm looking for one too.
At $4 I'm going to roll the dice and order one.

Re: 69 radiator drain plug fitment
I ordered the part and it fits. However, it is much longer than my original.
On my radiator I would recommend a thicker rubber seal or trim the excess length so you don't have to spin endlessly until the seal contacts the radiator.
I'll end up ordering the one from Dean when he reopens.
