Ok Pjack, you gotta share. Which paint kit did you go with? Is it 2 part with black base and clear? Looks quite nice. I’m also contemplating another bronze metallic for valve cover rather than polishing to a shine, it’s too much work!

Installed a USB port in place of the cigarette lighter. I had to open up the hole to make it fit bit it’s pretty sleek looking as it’s flushed with center console. Now to tackle some tunes for the car!

I just started to disassemble the engine bay on my 67 1600 project. It has an H20 instead of the R16 so I might just replace it with a U20 and 5 speed. I will start a build thread for it once I get the new shop finished so I don't have to move int in boxes!

Is it powder coating or actually black chrome?

I put on a new Header from Datsunparts, and new dogbones for the SU's. Then tuned the SU's. Car runs like a top and is ready for summer!

Re: What did you do TO or FOR your Datsun today?(Roadsters only)
I had the hood off and was going to get a couple of neighborhood kids to help me put it back on when the world shut down. I was afraid of losing the precious hood pins so I drafted the bride to help me out. I think she was so bored from being inside that anything was preferable.
Hood on and still married.

Yesterday I did the most disliked maintenance on the car... lubing the chassis. Hate those damn grease fittings. Always end up with blobs of grease here and there when the two disconnect or are difficult. Laying on the ground doesn't help. I may need to get a new grease gunt that's smaller and more flexible.

Yep, what he said...Had one for a couple of years....works great. I bought cheaper knock-off version on eBay. Works fine.
