A good number of the links I have tried to use no longer work is why I ask. The one in the parts interchange no longer works for the slave cylinder.
You will find many links that are no longer current, but the aftermarket slave part number and info are there in the Parts Interchange page. Other info you have to dig for or hope that someone is on the forum to answer your question, which is not always the case.
The vendors of course have the Nissan parts and all of the correct info , so they are a no brainer. Rallye has used parts also.
All depends on your time and money. :D In Los Angeles everyone is on virtual quarantine , so we have lots of time. The freeways are wide open!

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

It is not helpful when people complain about broken links and say nothing. I do not have the time to check everything. When I am made aware there is an issue I generally fix it right away time permitting. I cleaned up the broken links I found in the wiki. I am sure there are others. The point is from now on folks can do their own Google search with the part numbers listed. No more external links. It is not worth the effort to keep them current due the evolution of the internet.

You have a great project there. Wish you much luck in getting the car in a running condition.

Sorry sir, I did not mean to come across as disrespectful in any way. I will message you if I find any more that are like that if you would like sir. I apologize and thank you very much for helping to run this site. It has proved extremely useful in my process.

theunz wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 8:54 am I’ve never heard of any differences on the water pump for any year 2000. Dean only shows one pump for 67.5-70 2000’s on his site.
If you go and look at the diagrams provided on https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/s ... pump-fan#1 the pump changed halfway through the year after the emissions standards changed sir (there are two figures there if you arrow over in the bottom left). The original one had a bullet hole and the one for the SRLU model did not. There seem to be multiple subtle differences between the SRLU and non-SRLU models. The non-SRLU is the early model that came out before june of 1969. The obvious difference is the non- SRLU has 5 holes for hardware and the SRLU has 6. It took my about 20 hours of searching to figure it out when it was right in my face. I am fairly new to all this and do not claim to be an expert but I have put a lot of hours (recently 20-30 in the last week) into researching information and note taking sir.

So, are you wanting to rebuild your pump? That would usually be the only reason you would need the pump to plate gasket, unless it was leaking there for some reason. If that is what you need then you might just have to make another one. The pump to engine block should be the same for both types.

We didn’t really rebuild it just kinda cleaned it. It was working pretty well and all the seals are still good. We just couldn’t agree on the proper gaskets time buy because he didn’t know there was a difference between the two. I found gaskets for the pre-june 1969 2000 online and ordered them

Some useless trivia. The waterpump had a few variations. The 67.5 model had a plug in it - the later cars were never drilled for it iirc. The bearing on the 67.5 was solid, while later ones were tapped with a reverse thread for the fan clutch

Hi SEC,

Great family project. I have a long history with these cars and I'm not too far away in Gloucester Point (near Yorktown). Let me know if I can help.
