Wife drove the car for the first time and her comment was "You need a new steering wheel". So is that permission to buy I wonder?
100%
And if she asks why you bought one later, "because you told me to, remember!?" haha

Yesterday I ripped around for 3 hrs. running errands. WAAAAY better. You can probably see the diff in the pic but I also Mike Young springs put on. JT said he had the shocks already tuned (?) for my car. Thanks for the help JT. Wife drove the car for the first time and her comment was "You need a new steering wheel". So is that permission to buy I wonder?
Sounds like that's an endorsement for a new wheel to me. Yep the Bil's you have are the correct rebound spec for Mike's springs and the early Nissan-comp springs. We also have sets valved for stock springs and the stiffer DP "super comp" springs. All work really well:-). Glad you are happy!
Coming home from a quick rip down the freeway the motor started to backfire then wouldn't run above 2500 rpm. Fuel filter full of (fine dirt/rust?)
Tank looked good when I replaced the tank sending unit wiring harness. Shiny metal. Well this was the second time so I removed the tank to have it flushed and in the inimitable fashion of my car found several other things incorrect.
Sheared tank strap bolt, redrilled and elec. fuel pump added.

Swell. That's a lovely job. When I took the tank to the shop to have it boiled out, the tech was insistent that it didn't look like it needed to be coated on the inside. Opinions on necessity?
When I got home I started to nose around and saw the return fuel line was dripping rusty fuel. So now I need new fuel lines.

After this exercise in teeth gnashing, I made the car and myself feel better by showing her some love...
Sandblasted brushed and cleared the filler neck.
And because I couldn't stand it any longer put on my NOS rear lights which connected to The new Curtis rear harness I put in.

I will keep looking for a better pic but here is one real quick. Top left corner. FYI - I think at that point in the picture I removed the bolt from the frame and just had it hanging by the hook just for a quick reference shot.
EDIT: I also attached some other pics online of another set up - sorry Alvin I believe that's your tank & straps in the pic. This is an add-on part from Mike Young that supports the fuel tank/straps if you have bad rust or just too weak to hold up the tank. Only 1 is typically needed but sometimes it can be 2 if it's really bad.

Nick. Perfect, Wonderful! Worth 10 thousand words. Maybe a Moderator could put Mackn357's post in TechWiki fuel? A visual is essential sometimes and this is very helpful.
