Another CSP Silvia arrives in the UK

[Red CSP]

Just imported a roadworthy CSP Silvia into the UK. Arrives on the 12th and I will have it in the flesh a week later
It has been repainted red (originally white ) and came from Japan. It is not mint but certainly good and about 95% original
Main issue is the seats which although original are a nasty suede like material so first stop is the coachtrimmers to do the seats and possibly carpets.

Plan is to keep it looking stock but tweak the motor as much as possible keeping the bay looking original. Ive done some research and it seems straightforward to stroke these. That and some head work will be as far as I will go. I will be hoping for some help/info as Ive been told this is the place to go to get the right information. I understand Nisaan RBs but do need help with the R16.

She will be living with a 1976 Nissan S10 Silvia and the only 100% stock 32GTR in the UK.

They were silly expensive at the time , believe it or not 1.2 m yen and almost double the cost of the top model cedric which is probably why only 554 got made .

Having never seen one in person, I would not know this, but then, I am short, so it probably would not have occurred to me either.

Still I like the exterior body proportions and look.

The car was delayed by the storms and was delivered (straight to the coachtrimmers) from southampton.
First impression was - my god it is tiny (but gorgeous)
It is actually one of the prettiest cars Ive ever seen (IMHO of course )
It has far more presence in the flesh as well.
It does need a lot more mechanical work than I was led to believe although nothing major but on the bright side the body is way better than I expected.
One bad thing - one of the morons moving the car decided to do so by attaching a large chain to the anti roll bar .
The ARB lost and is now on the back seat .
A pain but I am love with it so off to the welder after the seats are done.

a couple of pics at the trimmers.
New front seats and everything in the boot redone to original complete with matching diamond stirching.
I have all he oeiginal trims for exacrt patterns but they are too curled up to renovate\
Bunpers and hubcaps off to the chromers then refit in a few weeks time after a mechanical check which will include the brakes and clutch hydraukics.
By the time that all done I should have the UK registration documents through,
