Re: New roadster owner
I think that the late models have the muffler just forward of the rear axle. Yours does indeed look like a glass pack. The issue with your location is that in the summer it can transfer a lot of heat to your feet. Some have been able to fabricate some variation of a heat shield for your location. There should also be a resonator behind the rear axle alongside the gas tank. It looks like you may already have it. If I wanted to quiet it down I would replace (and move) your glass pack with a small oval muffler. Do a search for muffler here, as their is already a pretty extensive thread. It's hard to recommend a particular set up since the exhaust note is objective. If you want a OEM like set up then check out the system by Datsun Restoration Products LLC. It has received high praise.

Very nice. Just reminds me of how much work I have left on my '69.

Great photos. Do you have big dual soft-boxes for your photos?

Ya, that's almost a straight pipe exhaust, looks like a small glass pack is in line but that's it. Try a small turbo muffler. I like my dynomax.

Re: New roadster owner
Where are you located in CT?
I’m about 45minutes from Sherbrooke, Qc and my buddy Dan is in Alburgh VT between us 2 you’ll have 5 different exhaust to listen to and decide
I have a 67.5 with a U20 and full Datsun Restoration exhaust line and will be picking up a 67 1600 in a month with a custom exhaust
Dan has a 67.5 with OEM, a 2000 with OEM also I think(Might be custom) and he is building an SR20DET
