Post by roadsterdude »

Hello All,

How easy is it to put a 2liter radiator in a 1600 roadster..
Wondering what it takes to do a swap..

Thanks,

RE: 2 Liter Radiator Swap

Raul,

No special modifications-just the 2 liter radiator and a couple of hours to remove the old and install the replacement in its place. They bolt right up. I have done several of them.

Late 2000 radiators are narrower (to clear the late steering box) and the 2000 rad only has a single fitting at the top rather than a T fitting like the 1600 unit. Easy mods though...

Wow, you learn something new here just about daily. I did have to redrill the mounting brackets to line up with the 2 liter radiator but that was about it. All I can recall any way. :?
