Yes. Has a maroon hardtop. Didn’t see the listing on eBay, but the seller said he was listing it on there too.

Here is the link:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Datsun-Ot ... 7675.l2557

Seller indicated more than $25K spent, car sold for much less.

Ad said the car was " It is 1969 Datsun Roadster that been fully frame off restore", but the undercarriage photos didn't show that detail.

It's a 1968 per the VIN, titled as a 1969.
Seller, in Chicago, indicated it was bought by his father in law who purchased it from a guy in New York (still has a NY titled that I'm trying to resolve so I can get it titled), who reportedly had the engine rebuilt in 2018 (no records). The guy from NY reportedly bought it from a guy in California who had the "frame off restoration" in 2017. Definitely not a frame off restoration. The frame appears pretty clean, the body has been painted, but there are a few bubbles and a split at the seam on the hood and scoop (which I'm finding to be a common area).

The "rebuilt" engine is clean, but doesn't run very well. Currently dead, running REALLY rich. Need to work on the carbs.

Overall I believe about 20% of what the seller told me. I do think I got a decent price, that $6000ish is about $4000 less than what I paid.

Generally, it takes a bunch of time to work through all the smaller issues on cars that have been completed, but not road proven.

I usually try to get the car
1) Neighborhood reliable (Expect it to breakdown - If you keep it in the neighborhood, then the walk home isn't too bad)
2) Around town Reliable
3) City reliable.

It may take a while to resolve all the issues, but you have a pretty good starting point.

This was the same one on Ebay listed in New York I believe. I was going to look at the car, but the description said it was a fresh rebuild on the engine, but recommended to have a mechanic look at it and to not drive it home; something like driven 100 miles since rebuild. Thought it was a little off. She's a looker.
