Do you track or auto-x ? if not these are a lot of tires for a roadster

R1R has a pretty short lifespan. Go with the R888, its also short, but not as short

No track or auto-x. The car won't be driven too often, and at least for the next year or two, will only be driven in dry weather. And to be honest, I just really like the look of the tread patterns on those tires. {shrugs shoulders}

I thought that the R888 had a lower/shorter treadwear rating than the R1R. Maybe I'm not interpreting that correctly.

R888 & R888R are DOT competition tires and not really suitable for street
R1R are Xtreme performance tires one level down but very close to DOT tires

I’ve never driven on the Toyo tires so can’t comment but from the same category I had Advan AD08s and Star Specs on other cars they were awesome
