Thanks, all
Simon: Sadly, I bought my car probably in about 2008/9. It has really been a long term project

I shudder to think how many of these cars would be left if so many hadn't been on a 20 or 30 year hibernation!

When I first got interested in roadsters, I wondered why it took so long, sometimes decades, to get the car on the road.
I no longer wonder.......heavy sigh.....

Still doing a little work, here & there with #565.
Did a quick walk around video.

If you're still trying to sell, it will likely make a killing on BaT

Re: 1967 SRL-00565 - Finally getting some attention...
Been a long time since I provided updates.
After a bit of cosmetic work earlier this year, I was having fun bringing #565 back to daily driver condition. Briefly put the car on the market, but was enjoying putting some local miles on the car. So I pulled it back off the market.
After driving it for a few weeks, noticed an occasional issue with the clutch. In the end, it required pulling the engine to replace the clutch. And, that is when the "While I'm here" syndrome hit. Started with a clean-up of the engine bay to eventually a refresh of the numbers matching U20!
Hoping in the next few weeks to start bringing it back together. Pictures to come.

Yahoo. Rebuilt engine, new clutch and new radiator. Took the car for it's maiden drive this evening, sans hood, grill, bumper and more. Power seems great, new clutch is working nicely. Need to finish putting it back together and get rid of 6 months of dust.

Engine had never been rebuilt, All standard sizing. Once we pulled for the clutch, it was just the right timing for the refresh. What are the specs on the rebuild?
