Cleaning soft top windows-resolved
I want to keep what I can that came originally on my '66 Survivor. Any ideas on how to get the plastic windows clean? Pretty sure my upholstery guy can sew the minor damage. Thanks Pat

Re: Cleaning soft top windows
Put down a layer of towels in the house to protect the plastic. Use mag wheel polish and a towel. You will be surprised at the results.

Re: Cleaning soft top windows
You are welcome! I did this years ago and saved a top. If the windows are brittle it will not work, but if they are pliable, then this will scrub off the mess and will make them serviceable in many cases.

Dynaguy, why don't you take pictures as you go along?

Re: Cleaning soft top windows
I worked on the passenger side window a bit last night with the mag wheel polish I had, noticeable improvement. Searched YouTube and found that Meguires has a product for this application, might get some and give it a try also. Pat

Re: Cleaning soft top windows-resolved
Searched and came across this thread!
I wanted to clean my soft top windows before storing it in my attic. The windows had become hazy. I simply scrubbed them down with Simple Green and a cloth.

Not bad for a 35+ yr old top, but now that I've learned about the mag polish trick maybe I can get the windows totally clear!

Re: Cleaning soft top windows-resolved
I did the wheel polish thing when I first got mine to bring it ‘back to new’ (more or less), but it’s not something I would want to do repeatedly on that plastic. Your results with Simple Green turned out well, it will likely become part of my Fall storage routine.
