I've been told the voltage regulator for the fuel/water gauges is still available from Nissan for under $20. Part Numbers in the Common Part Numbers list.

'67 1600 - frame off started in 2014. Now I know why roadster projects take so long. What a stupid idea.

I wish. Just went to the dealer today he said the part was $21.43 or so but is NLA. Its out of the system, gone forever he said.I've been told the voltage regulator for the fuel/water gauges is still available from Nissan for under $20. Part Numbers in the Common Part Numbers list.
It was funny to drive in my roadster to the parts department and see about 13 salesmen all gathered around it. The owner of the Buena Park Nissan had a 2000 roadster with dual solexes, datsun pickup and a 60's round datsun they said but werent sure what it was. One of the workers there said they drove the 60s round one and said it was a slug he had a hard time going up a hill in it in 1st gear. Pretty cool stories.
That would be cool. Its not for my though its for my bud who wants to make it to the run but isnt quite sure because he still needs tires, and a bit of things to work out.Hey dude,
I have a 67 in my back yard, I can loan you the part until you obtain a replacement…. I don’t think I need these part now perhaps few months down the line when I'm start restoring it. Let me know

I was able to source the diaphram for $6 bucks and the gasket for $1.98 so hopefully rebuild it friday.

The valves are not an absolute necessity to be replaced. They are made of brass and a phenolic piece, so they almost never wear out. To do a 100% job, you replace those and the rubber seal below the diaphram. I have rebuilt two without replacing the valves with NO problems!
