rust removal
hey y'all . I'm sure some may know this but some won't .
especially you east & mid west where they use salt on the roads ... haha you can see the street through the floor board in the winter cars ..haha spent a year and a half in Ohio . north Ohio. Oregon Ohio actually . anyway check this link out . this is a easy diy way to take the work out of your hands. and it'll get in every crevice that the salt/salt water can fling into (everything) . anyway seems nice and easy. happy derusting. .

I always worry when the comments are disabled. 5k positive, 3k negative, wonder why.

On the tractor forum that I frequent Evaporust is very popular. I have used it and it works well. Electrolysis has many proponents too, and there are some who proclaim how well molasses solution works.

Re: rust removal
I used to use an electrolysis to get the rust off axe heads I would restore without polishing or wire wheels. It will leave a nice dark patina without changing different types of steel various colors like a vinegar soak will. Excellent for pitted items but it takes a little knowledge of chemistry, time, a slow charging battery charger (2A). And you must build a container. Never used evapo rust but it is probably a better application for the roadster crowd. Here is a pic of an axe done with this method. 3.5 lb. Connecticut pattern no name on a 28" straight hickory handle. Very hard bit and razor sharp. When you hold it, you start to grow fangs and get mean.
