I'm upgrading my fuel tank pickup and return lines. Tank was boiled out and is now at the welder's shop, I need to design a baffled fuel pickup tube, and integrate the return line from the fuel rail.
Requirements/Details:
1. Must not suck air under hard acceleration, cornering or braking, even with less than 1/4 tank of fuel.
2. No corrosion, long-term.
3. Must use factory or AN-style fuel line fittings for both supply and return lines.
4. Keeping original sender unit and its location, so the pickup/return has to go somewhere else.
5. Cut and Weld is OK.
Anybody done this EFI conversion with ANY "previously carbureted" fuel tank?
I would like to hear any success stories you have, even non-roadster tech
tips.
P.S. I already spoke to Michael Spreadbury about his awesome Honda carrier and in-tank fuel pump, but after careful consideration I have to stay with my frame-rail-mounted fuel pump. So Michael, if you have a hot setup for this application, please weigh in!
Need ideas ASAP.
Many thanks.

My 2 cents:
Use the Honda/Acura catch can that we all use. Weld it into the bottom of your OEM roadster tank. Fabricate some sort of clip or bracket that will hold the pick-up and return lines down to the bottom of the catch can.

Not that I know of. It's spot welded in there. Most if not all junk yards will make you buy the whole tank.
