Brake Master

Post by brn2rde »

Anyone have any luck finding the 510 Brake Master Cylinder lately. I had in mind to swap in the 510 unit, pn# 11-1538, but I cannot find anyone that actually has one in stock. Or, has anyone tried other alternatives? I have read the tech wiki, but don't see anything else. I did find the 13-1658 that looks the same, but with a bigger bore. Not sure that would cause a problem?
Alternately, anyone have a line on re-sleeving their OEM? Mine is not bad with just a bit of pitting-but a hone will likely take off too much material to let the stock piston seals work.

Thanks!

Edit: I should add that I have upgraded to the Volvo front brake/caliper setup, and am aware that any master other than stock requires metric to standard adaptors.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
