Tape the hood at the two bottom points before you tap it off to keep the trim from scratching the hood

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Does anyone know the bolt size for the seat belts where they attach at the wheel arches on the package shelf. I lost the bolts and am finishing installing the seat belts.
Thx

They are 7/16-20 x 7/8" long. They have a large head, see pic. These are an extra set I have if you need them, pm me. Pat

I discovered 7/16-20 when I had time to search the archives.
Got a couple bolts from Home Depot. I figure the 2 I lost might turn up.....
Thx anyway Pat

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Hey all,
Anyone know if the seat track studs can be replaced? I just yanked my seats out to redo the foams and covers and I’ve found some issues that I need to fix (two broken studs and a couple others that look to have been cross threaded multiple times). I suppose I could knock the old ones out and just weld anything else in there that I feel like as long as it doesn’t interfere with seat movement. Thoughts?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Matt, I did exactly what you are thinking of. Just a couple of tacks is all you need. It was a while back and my memory just goes back a very limited time, but I may of ground the bolt heads down some.

Any suggested brands & part numbers ... ether to shy away from ... or have worked really well?Ralph wrote: Sat Jan 26, 2019 12:30 pm Any quick pros & cons to upgrading to an electric radiator fan (Looks like an engine pull is in the cards and I'm at the "While I'm here I might as well..." stage) U20 with Champion rad, alternator already upgraded.

I’m disassembling the e-brake and would appreciate any tips on removing the black handgrip from the metal arm. Thanks in advance!

I believe it just slides on and off. I've never noticed any adhesive used.bakerjf wrote: Tue Mar 19, 2019 3:18 pm I’m disassembling the e-brake and would appreciate any tips on removing the black handgrip from the metal arm. Thanks in advance!

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Question about the fuel-line return on a 1970 1600 (This was an emissions car).
How likely is for this line to be use? I believe it was designed to carry extra gas that was left un-burn on the cabs back to the gas tank.
I pull the gas tank down and notice the inside of the line was dirty and clogged with really old gas residue.
Should I take the time to clean it?
Any advice greatly appreciate it.

I’ll give that a try. It’s hard-stuck on there right now.Linda wrote: Tue Mar 19, 2019 3:45 pm Re E brake handle:

You might try a hair dryer on the plastic to see if it will soften enough to break its grip. I would be reluctant to use a heat gun though.
