Greetings From Upland, CA

Post by ehanson »

I am a little late doing the intro thing. I have a lot of Roadster experience from back in the day. Was involved in a So Cal back in the 80's and 90's DROC. Have had a 68 2000 since 86. Took it apart during college what was then planned to be a fun car, but School, wife, kids, and business got in the way.

Working on getting her back on the road with the plan being late November. So glad I never cut up this number matching 2000. I will likely take a little heat for a couple of safety related modification, but they can be reversed with no permanent changes to the car. Might be a bit aggressive, but going to give it the old college try. Some here might remember me from West Covina Nissan where I worked during college.

I have seen a White 1600 (I think) running around in Upland and San Antonio Heights. If someone knows who that is, reach out and let me know.

Welcome! There are a few of us roadster guys in your surrounding areas. Looking forward to seeing another on the road shortly. Here are 5 of the 8 roadster owners that got together a couple weeks ago for a drive up Angeles crest.

Just noticed this intro...good to see several local owners. I'm in Rancho Cucamonga, so pretty close to Upland.

My car won't be on the road for some time, but would always be interested in seeing other cars nearby and lending a helping hand.

I caught a peek of a roadster on the 210 once and always wondered who may be close by.

I have seen a white 1600 running around near my place, but have not been able to chase the car down when i have seen it. Have seen it several times on campus and Euclid. Let me know what you might need. Mine should be done in April. Plan to drive to Solvang.

A caravan sounds like a fun..but, I have the body off and still working on my swap, so no Solvang this year.

The weekend time is precious and lots of details to work on.

The hope is next year, maybe. I attended last year (spectator) and just wished I was home working on the car. But, admittedly, it is nice to see all those roadsters in one place.

Enjoy the show and the great drive! If you need any help making it to Solvang just let me know.

There's always time help a roadster get back on the road.

I occasionally drive on the 210 in that area.. Usually on my way to Campus Dr, to head up the back way to Mt. Baldy Rd...
