Rear suspension

Post by Captainkaos »

Working on rear suspension set up for ‘68 2000. Trying to determine leaf spring height so car has correct lowered comp ride height after re-arcing. Currently sitting on 14” wheels with 185/60R14 tires. Stock springs have the center of the wheel arch at 21 1/4” from floor. According to the Datsun parts website and my back of the envelope math this is about right for lowered comp height and an inch below what stock should be. Off the car and upside down on the floor they are 3” high to the center of the spring. So the question- when re-arcing should I have any height (curve) added or just make sure they have the correct spring rate?
