That looks very good. You coated inside and out? Seems like it would last better than the chrome in some ways.
66 stroker, almost done.

At work, we switched from chrome to a "prismatic Chrome" powder coat - the end result is amazing. The system is followed by a powder clear coat, and that is what really makes it pop. The key to a good application is sandblasting for a really even and clear surface that the paint can adhere too. These look really good and a major improvement over the red!

Replaced both rear wheel cylinders, installed new rear shoes and Koni shocks. Premo stopped by to provide a helping hand on the brakes. Off course job is not complete until Dave and I have our celebratory whiskey! I say it was a productive Presidents Day

Got the gas gauge working on the /68. I had to depin one of the connectors that was intermittent. Turns out the small flanges that hold the connectors to the pins on the sender was smashed flat. A little prying a wiggling and got that part fixed. Cleaned off the black paint on the wires so I could tell which is yellow, cleaned the connectors and presto, fuel gauge works!!
Mounted a backup light after fixing it. Now I've gotta find out why there's no voltage in that circuit.

Aidan,
According to Dave, soft in the back and stiff in the front (not sure exactly how many turns but I know its not on the fully stiff setting). How did you set yours up?

Test drove my car to Dave's house after installing the Konis and came across a little roadster party. Finally had the chance to meet Steve and Alex. Dave and Steve were busy working on the transmission while Alex tried installing his Konis. I just took pictures..

I love the mirror placement on the red car. Form over function, I still need to drill my holes for the mirrors and want them on the fenders forward just like this but I know they will be hard to see out of. Just looks awesome

Indeed the fender mirrors are just for looks and pretty useless. Previous owner installed them there and I had to put the Japanese rising sun decal to hide the OEM mirror holes. It is somewhat a conversational piece though.

So on a scale from 1 to 10 and 10 being the mirrors usefulness at the antenna area, what would you give for a number with the mirrors forward. I had the mirrors on my doors with my previous roadster and the driver mirror worked fine but the passenger side was useless. Car is going for paint very soon and I need to make up my mind.

I would say around 9. Perhaps a larger mirror might help but the ones I have are pretty useless. I would like to remove them but don't want to see additional holes. I plan on getting them filled in when I get a paint job. If you're in the area you can stop by and check them out.

Just installed my mirrors on the fenders posted a couple pages back on this thread. I tested them in different locations and chose this spot as the most effective for visual, you have great rear view angle from both mirrors. Any further forward and your view field shrinks to uselessness.

Of course, if you want the look, go further forward. You'll just be rubberneck shoulder-checking for every lane change

Finally got around to installing JT's Bilsteins, replacing the Koni's. Got everything installed, but still can't drive it as I have a beautiful stainless exhaust that needs to go on too....maybe this weekend for the exhaust.
