New to the PNW
Well, after a few years of planning, we sold our home in the Bay Area back at the end of November of last year and closed the purchase of our new place in Roseburg in the middle of January. Took a little while to find a house that had a shop and within the price we wanted to pay. House does need work, but the important thing is the shops are solid. Roadster is as of today an official Oregon resident.

Welcome to the rest of the west.
You'll be close to the Shasta meet and Roseburg has wonderful proximity to fishing, hiking, wine, Shakespear, and a bunch of great roadster roads.
Good choice!

Good choice other than it means I am that much closer to Ted......
I shouldn't say that as he supposedly got me a difficult to obtain permit to relocate from Cali, although I have yet to see it and I was still able to move here.

You're also near Damn it Bill, who lives out in the boonies in Walton. But we always stop in Roseburg for breakfast on the way to Shasta... see you then!

Re: New to the PNW
Couple pics of shops. Probably won’t get around to start setting them up until summer. Got to get the main house in order 1st.
The one on the left is 14x35 and will function as my paint area (back) and prep area (front). The one on the right is 24x35 and will be the main mechanical area, including a 2 post lift and perhaps a 4 poster.
This is a large 20x15 shed. Plan here is to put a garage door on the side facing the house and make it a 2 car garage.

Re: New to the PNW
That is not enough room for your fleet of DATSUNS, Colts, Subarus etc etc etc.
Did you lose some on the trek north?

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Re: New to the PNW
I did sell some off before the move. Right now the left shop has my motorbikes and 2 cars and the right shop has 5 vehicles and all my shop equipment. They are packed full! I have an acre here so plenty of room to expand.ted heaton wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 3:23 pm That is not enough room for your fleet of DATSUNS, Colts, Subarus etc etc etc.

Linda, moving away is actually saving my brain. I’ve had just about all I can take of the Bay Area rat race and the ridiculous cost of living. Relishing the slower pace of things out here.
