To all the members, nice to meet you!
I am a Japanese living in Chapel Hill, NC, whose name is Yoshiaki Hishitani (please call me Yoshi).
I recently acquired SP 311 in 1966 which does not run at all.
I participated here because I need to learn in order to rebuild my car into a safe, comfortable, fast and elegant Fairlady.
I have already spent more than 30 hours subscribing to articles since registering as a member on December 30.
Also, Michael-san (Spriso Motorsports) was taught me directly and I was encouraged to participate in this place. (Thank you Michael-san)
Here many members rebuild their Roadster with their own hand with ingenuity, but unfortunately I do not have the skills and equipment that can do such things so I'm good at resting a lot There is no choice but to ask the shop. Still I would like to learn a lot of things here to tell shops correctly what I want to do.

I was touched very much by knowing that Datsun Roadster made in my home country is loved by many people the members here.

Welcome! What a cool perspective from which to approach Roadster ownership: A transplanted Japanese national coming to the USA to get a Japanese origin classic car! You've invested your time wisely here, and being knowledgeable will help you select and monitor the vendors that you choose to work with. Glad to see another NC Roadster too! The Winston Salem area seems to be a bit of a hot bed in the East as far as knowledgeable owners. Welcome to the addiction.

A few cheap Harbor Freight tools and you can start doing some of the work yourself, and skip the shop.
There also might be some owners near you who could help.

Welcome to the forum, I've always wondered why there weren't more Japaneese members. Of course I know that the language barrier is the main reason, but with so many worldwide speaking English as a second language, you would think that we would have a few from Japan participating. Hope we can help each other out with knowledge about these cars!

Yes. Actually Roadster Fairlady is far more difficult to obtain in Japan. I was lucky to be able to come to the United States.

I started by fixing the dash clock that does not move at the beginning. This would not require a car lift.

I have been in the United States for seven years, but I still can not speak English well (it is even harder to hear)
But I think that the forum is fine as it can understand slowly and understand without worrying about time.
I go back to Japan at least twice a year on a business trip and I will procure any accessories or parts that are difficult to obtain in the US!
