Victor Laury Commemorative Run - Dec 9

Post by mraitch »

For those of you who are newish to the world of Roadsters, Victor (who passed last year) was a major figure in the roadster community, almost from its creation.

To honor him, and just have fun, we will meet at 7:15 at Shell Station, (2/210) at 7:15 for 7:30ish departure.

Two choices

1) newcomb ranch and back
or
2. all the way to Wrightwood, returning via GMR

And, to note, I asked Ron about organising this, and he gave me his blessing.

Hope to see a LOT of SOCAL roadsters there!

Here are videos of the 2005 Newcombs/Mt. Wilson run that was orchestrated by Victor. Filmed by Ron Eastman.

I will be at morning kid sporting event, so will miss this year, but will be there in spirit. (And May take an afternoon roadster blast thru Turnbull Canyon in tribute to a good friend)

9??? Victor was as tough as they come. And if it involved a car, Victor, speed, and adrenaline knew no temperature. We are driving to remember how he loved Datsun unconditionally, and how we loved him for that. Try to keep up. See you at the top.
