Finally dropped the engine back in after clutch replacement and transmission work. Everything done solo. It was a day of lessons learned. First and foremost, don’t put a new oil filter on before reinstalling the engine/tranny. Second, reinstalling is much harder than removal!!! That transmission tunnel is a pain in the ass.

Having a load leveler is the only way to go, especially if you are doing install/removal solo!

Drove it.
Still looks rough, drives really well. Lots of buzzing and rattling because of the polyurethane mounts, but I'm committed to driving it as is for the next year or so before I dive back into it.

I had a leveler. Just took me three tries to figure out the correct trajectory.

Only three? I use the a little angle here" move the lift, " a little angle there" move the lift etc. etc. so it probably takes me 10 or 12 adjustments to get it to slide in like butter! I can't imagine trying to do that alone without a leveler - like I used to do with Chevy 350 V8's - just brut force and allowing it to rest on whatever was handy to get it in!

Funny how much harder it is to work on a car you are restoring vs one you are just fixing!

what did I do for my roadster ?
I got the e-break working for the first time
I got my distributor set to where I can set the timing .
I got all , yes all, of my breaks working and bled ..
It feels like a new car . haha it doesn't have to be really warmed up to function halfway good .. it's sure nice to have breaks that work always ..
and my clutch . my clutch is air bubble free and shifting well.. . rumble is happy.

Got back from Japan today and found I had received a spare headlight relay I bought for a whole $64 from Thailand.

well got things all tied in and car is running great . I'm at 60 dwell and 42°btdc at 400 rpm and car has pep and power . . idk why it likes this kinda setting but it do., so I'm leaving it . I've tried the normal settings only to find myself going back to these because of power issues . go figure . it's my car , it's got to be different I guess .

flopped out fuel line to correct size and noticed something with my clamps as I had holes wrenched into them all .. well we'll what's this here on some of them ?

that curve inside the clamp might be doing something here !! well hopefully this is the only thing left to do with fuel . haha famous last words . :Tosser:
