1972 240z One Owner purchase

Post by 19692000survivor »

I am expanding my love for Datsuns beyond my 67.5 SRL. I just purchased my 1st 240z. The car is a 1972 matching # with dealer installed air and full purchase documentation and an owners log book from day one. Originally a chartreuse (112) car it was repainted yellow years ago. Luckily everything is there but it does need rockers and drivers seat pan replaced due to typical rusting. My wife is liking this one a lot so who knows whose car it will be once complete. I can’t wait to get the car back to its original color . Rick

Congratulations! 1972 is the best year for the Z in my opinion. I had a couple of them over the years - just a really fun car.

You and your wife will enjoy it!

Very nice! I've had many S30 cars over the decades. Several 70's and all models up to the Z32TT. Great cars to drive and restore. I think I counted 37 rotisserie restorations alone. I only ended up with one in my stable which is a rotisserie restored 73' one owner which now sports a 2.8DET punched up to a 3.0 with all custom bits.
Yout tennis ball yellow car will be amazing once done even as stock. Congratulations.

I now have the 240z running again after a gas tank and Radiator flush, tune up and a new coil. These Old Datsun engines just come back to life after a long neglected period of sleep after the basics are done. The dang thing just fires right up and idles great. Replaced the clutch slave cylinder and rear brakes completed today. Still no headlights yet but the rest of the electrical checks out.
