The one that is on my driver's side front signal seems unable to maintain its grip. The rattle that the turn signal then begins to make is great enough that it makes its presence known, which is saying something considering the competing cacophony that it must overcome for me to hear it.

Freeze plug?mraitch wrote: Thu Sep 13, 2018 3:00 pm Dreading the answer to this question, since I don't want to pull Eliza's engine YET AGAIN!
Seems like I have coolant leaking from the backing plate between the transmission and engine.
And idea what might have happened and where?
I think she overheated (temp gauge currently not working) because the bolt that hold the fuel line to the thermostat tower came out, and I lost quite a bit of coolant!!
Thorts??

I believe there is a freeze plug back there, but not sure. Could have blown out or rusted through?

+1 on the vacuum hose. Makes it real easy to pull off the badging to detail the car alsobakerjf wrote: Thu Sep 13, 2018 12:58 pmA lot people use vacuum hose clipped in 1/8†sections. Yes there is a freeze plug on the back of the block. I put brass freeze plugs on my block.notoptoy wrote: Thu Sep 13, 2018 4:27 pm I believe there is a freeze plug back there, but not sure. Could have blown out or rusted through?

Apart from flare and position of side markets, are 68-70 fenders interchangeable?

From my knowledge, yes. Heard there's a slight difference in the corner near the door but that may be the 67.5 to 68 transition.mraitch wrote: Thu Sep 13, 2018 7:33 pm Apart from flare and position of side markets, are 68-70 fenders interchangeable?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Developed what I am CERTAIN was a coolant leak dripping between the engine and transmission.
Once AGAIN, took engine out, removed the transmission. the Freeze plug that is covered by the transmission is newish (shiny) ans no signs of leakage, similarly the one above it.
Any thoughts??
I'm going to block everything of and refill engine - but HELP

^ D'oh! Lot of work for a hose, but thank heavens it's a simple fix.
