Well, my travelling partner bailed out on me for Road Atlanta. His son won a contest and is getting a free wedding that weekend. Can you believe him?? He thinks that his son's wedding is more important than Roadsters!

Anyway, I have a quandry about Road Atlanta. I have very limited time between now and then, and I have several MUST get done projects staring me down. Both of my roadsters need work. I will only have time to get one going. Which option do you think I should choose?

That is soo funny, should I drive the F250 or a datsun . The only way you could even possibly justify the truck is if you are taking a trailer to pick up another project :D . I would first ask how fast you want to drive. Then ask what car I want to recant stories about more when people ask about my unusual car.

Im for the 2000 if you have some nice roads to drive and the 1500 if it is a nice leasurely ride.

Have fun,
Erik

Some people drive to go from point A to point B, I go from Point A to point B so I can drive.

I guess I should post some more info. The 1500 has not even been test driven since it has been brought back to life. The 2000 engine has never been fired off. I am not sure I would not feel comfortable driving either car that far without a few days of sorting around town.

Sid,
I think you should drive your truck and enjoy the cars there. If your cars aren't ready you don't want to break down150 miles from your house and have to do a roadside repair or get towed for a huge amount of money, especially if you have a limited amount of time.
Have to say though, with all your knowledge, no running Roadster? That's like a brain surgeon who never operates!
Is RA the one with the pork chop sandwich?

Sid,

Since your gonna be crewing for me I vote for taking the most reliable vehicle. :P FYI when you get there just go to the credentialing/driver registration and tell them that you are with car 134 for your crew pass.
See ya there!

Remember the parable of the cobbler and his kids? Well that is sort of the case here. I have too many projects, a wife, two kids, a house that needs help, and what appears to be a touch of adult attention deficit disorder.

That and crap keeps breaking like the daily drivers...

Linda,

The 1500 is running - I wanted to post that just for you. Road Atlanta is not the one with the pork chop sandwich, but the track has the nickname pork chop!

That is an idea. Unfortunately, all of my buddies punked out on me this go around. The 1500 was driven for the first time in exactly 27 years. Pretty cool! Still needs a few things, but it is a goer!! The 2000 is reassembled and just needs fluids to be fired off and tested. Woo Hoo!!

The time here is 12:30pm. I am sweaty, oily and smelly enough that I am offending myself. I am going to get a shower and go to sleep. Lots more to do, but by this time tomorrow, I hope to have 2 drivers.

Sid,
Fabulous you got the1500 going! The surgeon operates, and the patient lives! Hooray! Now you know why doctors are cocky! So you were sweaty and oily. Docs are sweaty and bloody. Same thing!
Well excellent work. Hope the neighbors cheered! :)
