2018 Japanese Classic Car Show 9/15

The 14th Annual JCCS show is 9/15 in Long Beach, CA. This year the show will be held in Marina Green Park, across the water from The Queen Mary.
In addition to the new location, I'm excited to see the new pre-1995 category. See you at the show!

Does the new venue support a bigger show? I was surprised to see that registration closed only recently. In the past, it filled up pretty quickly.

How was the new venue?

I have mixed feelings about the new venue.
Was saving for my blogpost, but here are my thoughts, from a vendor/spectator perspective:

-the vendor booths had the best spot: a single paved road that spectators would shuffle through before getting to the show cars
-Vendor parking/trailer load-in was super easy, and literally footsteps away from venue.
-Show cars were parked on a crested grassy hill, in parking-lot fashion: this was un-interesting and a bit crowded compared to The Queen Mary
Despite some "organic" car arrangement at past JCCS events, I preferred the excitement of walking around to find cool cars back then, compared to the gauntlet of row after row of vehicles this year....I think I heard attendance of 511 cars including vendors. It was just plain impossible to see every car from 9-3pm.

The quality of the cars however made up for the venues shortcomings, imho.
