I have been lurking for the past couple years while I quietly work on a 1967 1600 I purchased. I rescued it from a back yard where it had been sitting under a tarp for the last 12 years. Why datsun? I have always been partial to building a Datsun 510 however the wife is more into convertibles so we have the compromise

Gas tank was not salvageable so I made a new one:
Liked the look of roll bar but did not like price/shipping to get one. So I decided to make my own. Was able to build it around the seats and at 6ft tall my head is below the bar (soft top bar clears with 1/4" clearance)
Needed new seats and decided to go the route of porsche 914. I paired them with some Schroth 4 point DOT harnesses.
Wiper motor was burned up so I went 21st century. Acura Integra Motor.
