I may have missed getting my parade lap pass AND passenger/shotgun hook-up....But...I was able to get the parade and cars coming back into the corral after the laps.

It took about 4:43 for a lap as seen by Peter Brock Z-car at about that point in the video. Cars started coming back into the corral at about 7:45. I stopped when there started to be a slight back up with cars getting re-positioned in the corral.

Great fun!!!

Please forgive my amateur videography..! :smt006 Enjoy!

The video was taken at Turn 1, which was is a good live race vantage point. Quite a few spin-outs there. Then good hard acceleration for about a quarter mile before Turn 2. The corral was located between Turn 1 and Turn 2.

Actually between Turns 2 -3

Turn 1 is a kink just past the start-finish line:

Dang, great time looks like, but once again I couldn't go.
But a friend did, and sent me pics.
The parade lap line-up, and one of Pete Brock starting the parade lap. (I think that was what was going on?)

Looking at Day 1 & 2 Motor Trend youtube, but apart from the parade lap can't find any footage of racing roadsters. Anyone know what is best to watch!

watched the race - thanks John, - Mike got a mention and some footage - great - but the rest seemed to be overlooked - no Ron or anyone else was mentioned - passable coverage - but not dramatic - kind of like ABC's coverage of the world cup back in the early days. Great to see, but the could have done better - then again , I cold have been there #pissedoffthatiwasntthere

Unfortunately Ron's car was not running. Bill Wessel was seen, as was Phil Mendelowitz, Mike Sweeney, and a couple others. I don't think they were mentioned. Tough to get into depth with 50 cars in a 20 minute race. I love the fact that they said my car has a 1600.. Rock is probably going to get a chuckle out of that.

I met and talked to Ron Sunday a.m. and if I recall correctly, an axle shear. I could be wrong... huge overwhelming number of cars and conversations in the paddock! I have NEVER seen that many cool cars in the paddock. Been many many years since going to the Historics! (Now it's yearly, Datsuns or not!) But ya, tough break for Ron!

I heard Ron’s car dropped a valve seat, and screwed up a cylinder.

Correction noted, John. Didn't mean to spread wrong info. Maybe I was thinking about Mike's T2 issue from the Spring Classic? Either way, racer's gonna be racers: "If you never break something, you're not going fast enough!" Haha!
