Mounts for an SR20DE swap

Post by RxPoindexter »

A friend of mine sent me this link for 510 mounts kits for SR20DE. I was wondering if it would fit our roadster

If so, do you guys think this is a better way to go as opposed to the jeep motor mounts? $450 sounds like a lot of money to me

Thanks

are you talking about the kit thats for the 510 only? i believe these are too long for the small roadster engine bay. the "jeep mounts" are the polyurethane insulators that go between the engine bracket and the frame.

Any company that cannot spell crossmember on their webpage would not get any of my business.

And no, it will not work. A 510 is a unibody car with a bolt-in crossmember. To put an SR into a roadster, you need to modify the frame.

I have 10 sets of SR20DE(T) motor mounts that have just come back from the laser cutter. They need to be welded up in my jig, and then they will be for sale... look for an ad in the vendor section soon!
