I'm so excited!!!!

Post by Maggie »

Hi All,
I'm so excited. My car will be out of the paint shop on the 25th. I couldn't afford the candy apple red so a chose a color called true palm red. It is a deep bright red not an orangy red. I hope I like it. Now all I need to do is get some of the chrome done. As soon as I get it back I'll try to post a picture if I can figure out how.

Wow, paint is a big deal. Your car is going to look totally different when you get it back. Sounds good.

If you need help hosting or posting the pictures we can help.

That's great news indeed! How much did you pay for the paint job? I also plan to have my roadster repainted...same shade as the one painted on my roadster. Wow I can't wait to see your car! We need pictures!!! Lots of it!!! :D

I'm having the local high school do it. They stripped it down to bare metal, then primed it. I went to see it when it was bare metal and it looked funny. I'm paying 800.00. I've seen some of their work and was impressed. The instructor's family own a place here in town called Kollision King. Thank You Andy for offering to help with the pictures. As soon as it comes home I'll take some and let you know or email them to you.

Yeah, if you send me the pics I can host them on my site and you can post them here pretty easily. I'll provide the URLs for you.
That is a really good deal on your paintjob! I am in the process of stripping paint right now, and I'd pay $800 in a hearbeat to avoid that job. Not to mention the painting.

Hopefully they paint better than they spell. JUST KIDDING! :P

If they do a good job for only $800, you got a sweet deal.

WOW! That's quite a bargain! hmm...now I'll just have to find art students to pain my roadster... :D Did they bondo the panels or did they just paint it first with primer??

After it was stripped to bare metal they put bondo on any uneven surfaces then primed it.
