Re: Datsunparts.com BRE style air dam... how to mount it?
To mount and secure the BRE ‘spook’ air dam, I cut an aluminum tray to match the *inside* dimensions of the valence, drilled and mounted the tray (which significantly stiffens up the valence), securing it in place during assembly with Cleco fasteners, then mounted the air dam below the tray, again using Cleco fasteners to secure the pieces while in assembly. This allows more flexibility in fore and aft placement, as well as a better foundation for mounting.

Next time I get out to the shop and put it up on jacks, I'll do that!

For those wanting a new spoiler, I found a supplier:
Les Cannaday
les@classicdatsun.com
760-940-6365
Budget about $300 currently, but subject to change. Allow 3~4 weeks for production of a new for you spoiler.
Les has a lot of knowledge and other parts too.
