Post by Rocky69spl311u20 »

Hi im rocky, every subdivision has one guy, im him, lookout if the driveway is clear no telling what coming home next., I have too many projects, and I work too much, dont care for tv, politics or hipocrits, id rather be in the shop, good thing wife goes to bed early....i have my roadster disassembled 100%. And its on the way back together frame is done, floor pan repaired and strengthened, esp in seat bolt down area, Ihave the original power plant that took a dip in 1998, engine had a couple gallons of water inside for 18years, and surprisingly its in pretty good shape, i did have to tap out pistons, the oil floated and protected the block, the only thing in the water was the aluminum oil pump....cool...thranny in good shape, rear end as well, i have had this on hold two years too long, mine cost me a Browning sweet sixteen shotgun....no problem..i have done alot of research and im looking for the latest and greatest on moters, swap etc....wish i could get one of those 1.5 three cyl... ...onward thru the fog amigos! No fear!

Welcome! Post your location and yes, please post pictures of your project. Any more backstory on how, where and why it was under water??

The car looked good when new. By the way the side marker and turn signal lights say 1970 and not 1969, unusual as its normally it's the other way around. Back in the day, on some cars, if a dealer didn't sell it during its model year it could be registered as the current model when sold.

1969 2000 solex mine since 1972, under resurrection. (Finally resurrected as of spring 2019!)
1969 Porsche 911s -worth more, but not as valuable! Gone!
