John your timing is impeccable
I was about to reply "I'm out" as soon as Stacey posted

LOL
I think Alvin is trying to make me cry again with the sound of his sr20 thing....
LOL.

Hey my car is not totally stock either anymore so I guess I should not criticize those that do engine swaps.

I am just glad we can still have these roadsters running after about 50 years or so. and that there is a group of guys that have interest in them still.

I remember as a teen in new england any car that was 20 years old was an antique and usually most vehicles were rusted through if the car was more than 6 to 10 years old.

California weather is so much nicer on cars!

Wow! Interesting.... if we dont stay pretty close it may be pretty easy to lose a few drivers on some of the turns unless everyone can get it in Maps or has a navigator riding with them. ;)

that was really hard to plot on my Maps app on Android. it kept wanting to reroute. but I finally got it before running out of stops. It took me 8 stops. 9 counting the first parking lot.

it has pretty tricky roads around Tunitas and Lobitos creek, Verde and the cutoff...... back to Tunitas.

I do love that approach to Stage road off Highway 1. so scenic if you look out into the valley. the san gregorio store (at stage and 84) is interesting too if you ever have time to shop.

and the ride on Stage road to Pascadero is nicer since they repaved it a couple years ago.

And then the route off La honda road to Old La honda road, I have never have seen that before or have been up that way. it will be interesting.

have you run all these routes lately to see if they are all ok?

So is the plan to have us all meet at the big overlook on 9 (Sepervirens Point Parking lot) and then go from there to Tunitas creek and eventually get to Pascadaro for some bread and shoot back up to skyline via some various roads and back to the big turnout on 9 again a few hours later?

when do we meet at the turnout?

any pickup points on the way up there?
Aidan are you going through Boulder Creek to get up there? I might want to follow you as you drive through town.

Stacey, everyone else is meeting at the Saratoga 76 at 8am. I'm thinking that for you and me it makes more sense to just meet them at the hw9 overlook so thats where I made the start/finish. I could meet you at your house on my way up than we could convoy up 9 to the overlook.
I have done all of this rout recently except for stage rode and old la honda.

Aidan, Sounds good. My 30 year old son Dan will be riding and driving with me in my 2000 and taking some photos as well when he is not driving. I think it takes about 25-30 minutes to get up there from my house.

Alvin, the actual start and end of the run will be at the "hw9 overlook", the big turnout that is 1.9 miles south of 35 on 9, NOT at 35 and 9.

I just wanted to be sure you guys are not going to be waiting at the wrong place up the hill after you leave the gas station in saratoga.

see Aidans route he posted. it starts and ends at Santa Cruz Mountains Viewpoint. which is at 25150 Big Basin Way on 9. otherwise known as Sempervirens Point Parking 1.9 miles south of the 35/9 intersection.

We can meet at the 9/35 junction so that there is less backtracking for non sonata cruz people.

Fun Run in the Sun at Pescadero State Beach, CA. Just one of several stops.

Just got back home an hour ago or so. Lots of good driving on 9, skyline and 84.

Only 3 roadsters but lots of Nissan representation. GTR, 240z 300xz, 510 .....

FANTASTIC RUN!!!
One of the best DRIVING runs I've had in awhile. Thanks to Brian and Aidan for organizing.

Our guest of honor was star of the JDM Legends TV show, Josh Martin. ZCG put him in a 300zx Twin Turbo for the weekend.

One of the highlights (besides the amazingly traffic-free 84 stretch) was hearing Aidan's tires squealing behind me as we both attacked some high speed sweepers. I was very proud of him. That's how you DRIVE!
Following Stacey down HWY9:

Going to through my pics I had no idea Aidan did this!
