Not sure if this will help - a 50 year old car may have stuff changed out by now - but my '68 SRL has separate keys for ignition and trunk.

Check the operators manual for your year car, they are in the Tech Wiki

I’ve had a few 68s. All had one key for the doors, trunk, and console, with another key for ignition.

My '68 1600 had four keys, actually.

1. Ignition
2. Doors/center console/trunk
3. Gas cap
4. antenna key !

But I think the owner's manual says the gas cap originally matched the door/trunk/console, so it had probably been replaced.

Thanks for all the help, I was finally able to get keys made using the ignition cylinder and door lock. Don't have a trunk lock yet so if anyone has a spare, I could use it.

1st and 2nd lock smith couldn't do it, 3rd wanted $60 a key, 4th did both for $30 and told me to bring in the trunk lock when I get one and they'll re-key it to match the doors.

Where do I find the antenna key

From the research I've done, I'm pretty sure at least the early 68's (if not all 68's) came with a 1 key system. SRL311-3507 has a one key system with the original Kanto Seiki ignition lock assembly. The 68 "early" Kanto Seiki (KS) ignition switches that have the chromed face (and the key code on the face) used the same "square oval" key as the doors / trunk etc. locks. 3507 probably has the original switch as the previous owner told me they took the car off the road around 1991 and it wasn't driven up until the time I bought it around 2008 or so.

When Nissan switched to the Waso / Voss style ignition lock assembly (stamped metal face-cap and no key code), the key design changed to the much more common chromed "oval or egg shaped" key; the Waso / Voss / and even later "KS" key blanks fit this type ignition lock assembly.

The factory parts catalog seems to support this too as the Waso and Voss part numbers are much later than the earlier "square oval" 1000/5000, 3000/7000, 4000/8000 and 6000/9000 series lock part numbers and the parts catalog shows the Waso / Voss keys as "from Oct. 68".

I usually have in stock a few original OEM Nissan antenna keys (both used and occasionally NOS) plus some very nice reproduction too.

Why would the owners manual show 2?

Maybe for the same reason that it shows the passing switch
