What are the pros and cons for using the intake manifold support bracket on the SR20DE? Mine is painted but I will need to cut out a little notch on the frame to use it. The frame is so pretty and already painted so I really don't want to mess with the frame again.Mothra SR20DE Swap in Florida

Re: SR20DE Swap in Florida
Need to lower the rear and raise the front. Ugh. Any suggestions? I have comp springs in the front from Datsun Parts. I may put the old stock ones back on and get new tires for the back that have a lower profile. With the weight of the gas tank and the seats it may drop down a bit in the back. Paint comes soon.

Michael,
Your car is sitting higher in the rear because the leaf springs are mounted incorrectly. The shackles are flipped. They should be "folded" up:

Im def not and expert, a "copycat", and "non original thinker", but I dont think it needs to be there. I removed mine.Bigtaku wrote: Sat Jun 16, 2018 4:58 pm IMG_0087.JPGWhat are the pros and cons for using the intake manifold support bracket on the SR20DE? If the intake plenum eventually cracks, then go turbo

I saw the frame at the shop with Charles - I told the shop that the shackles were upside down. They looked at me like I was nuts...
