FYI for those using H20 head gaskets

Post by spl310 »

I was talking to a fellow Roadster guy that has built a stroker, and he is putting his head on. He got a new H20 head gasket and the cooling ports are very small. His plan was to enlarge them to match the ports better. If they are too small, that could be a recipe for cooling issues.

I have not compared them personally, but thought I would give a heads up. Caveat Emptor!!

Can I use the H20 head gasket for a R16 engine? Thanks!

Kind Regards,

It has been identified as a interchangeable piece. Just take a close look at the coolant passages. It could be an aftermarket supplier punched some too small.
