I got rid of the cable and plates because it is easy for them to bang the paint if unsecured, as when you are putting down the top. Don't want that on your nice new paint, Lorna....

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
This qualifies as a stupid question... for this thread anyways...There was a thread not too long ago about someone in NorCal (I believe) he was looking for 4.11s and I asked if he could build a diff for me and he said he could. I forgot to save the info and Im hoping to do that now, but I cant find the thread or his info.
Anyone know what Im talking about?

I tried that, I’ll look again.
What happens if it’s one of those threads that goes away after a week. I’m pretty sure the thread was in WTB Limited slip diffs or something

Yes, they expire and disappear into the tray underneath the server, never to be seen again

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
What should I be looking at as a root cause of the following:
The overflow is completely full and I had to add approx 2 litres of coolant to the thermostat tower.
I reckon there was too much air in the rad for the system to create enough vacuum to pull the coolant from the overflow and back into the rad. This happens over time and I have no obvious leaks.
I know that you can get a vacuum leak even without the system leaking under operating pressure so should I start with simply making sure all connections are tight or is there possibly something else going on?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
sure sounds like a head gasket leak to me, especially if you had to add that much coolant.
There's a gizmo you can use for testing if there is gas in the coolant.

I would check the heater for a blow out. You can bypass it if it is leaking.

Working mobile right now so having trouble searching for an answer
Pretty sure I am missing a middle part or two to finish the install of the sun visors. Hopefully the pictures load and make sense

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Thanks Linda and Pete.
I thought about both those things but I don’t have a leak in the passenger footwell nor do I have any other symptoms of a failed head gasket....I should investigate those further though.

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Sorry Geoff - what you are describing is typical of a head gasket leak - really suggest checking gas in coolant

The cap on my expansion tank was not sealing and it would blow coolant out the tank overflow.

Now that I'm in front of the "big" computer, & not on the mobile device, maybe this will work .. Here are the photos of what I've got.Ralph wrote: Sat May 12, 2018 5:06 pm Working mobile right now so having trouble searching for an answer

I'll search around the site now & try to figure out the missing piece...there must be a clip or tube that goes from above and behind the mirror and fits into the sun visor.
