off sets
I know this subject has been brought up numerous times. My roadster is a 67.5 and I ordered Rota RB's. The vendor made a mistake and sent me 15x7 with a 4 offset. I ordered them with a 12 offset. I went back and forth with him as he said he has sold these wheels to roadster owners before. They are not going to fit. He is willing to take them back. What offset will bolt right up with out rolling my rear fenders? 15x7 with 12 offset? I've read countless post about fitment on offsets with a lot of opinions. Thanks for the help.

Re: off sets
15x7 +18 with 195/50 tires for most cars and brand of tire....going to be close and might touch on the back on hard turns, over bumps to or near the stops.
He must of been thinking about 15x6 for the +4 wheels fitting

Re: off sets
15x7 +17 offset Riken wheels with 195/55/15...1.5 coil cut.
I would venture out to try 15x7 with +15 offset with 205s....
The reason I like these so much as it is a happy medium for both front and back.
Fronts with neg 2 degrees camber Fronts different angle Rears Rears different angle The rear lip was rolled to accommodate my 15x7 0-offset but I didn’t like the staggered look so it back to the +17.

Re: off sets
I have a '66. All stock suspension exc Datsun Parts lowering springs in front. 15X6 Rota RB's +20 offset with Hankook Ventus V2 Concept tire 195/55R15. Rear tires are about 1 inch inside the rear lip. No rubbing in hard corners. No front rubbing. No rolled lips. Large center bore. Large caps.

Re: off sets
I have a 68. Datsun parts springs in front, flexforms in back. 15x6 front, 15x7 rear both +20 offset. Getting a little rubbing on hard corners in rear. I think you can fit 15x7+20 in front with stock height suspension. I imagine lots of rubbing will happen if lowered as they will stick out the fenders.devo wrote: Wed May 02, 2018 7:47 pm IMG_1800.jpgI have a '66. Re: off sets
My Rotas are 15x6 F, 15x7 R both +20mm. Absolutely zero issues with fitment, rubbing, etc. Handling improved.

Thanks everyone for the replies. 15x6 and 15x7 big caps with 20 offset in gun metal are on their way. Pics to follow once mounted.

Re: off sets
Thanks again for everyone who helped get this right. I ended up getting 15x6 for the front and 15x7 for the rears. All with a 20 offset. I put all new wheel studs in and had to shave a little off the hub (even with big caps) to have the front rims sit flush to the hub. No rubbing and the rears tucked nicely with room to spare. Z therapy carbs are next on the list.

Re: off sets
Am I correct that the higher the offset (positive), the farther the wheels will tuck under the car/towards the center?
If a 15x7 is +12, then a 15x6 would need a half inch less of offset (+0) to place the outside lip of the wheel in the same place, relative to the fender lip, as a 15x7 with a +12?
Am I understanding this correctly?

Re: off sets
@onsight512 You are correct and they both will not fit without rolling the fender with many popular tire sizes.
I have seen a lot of car that the owner claimed the fenders were not rolled and on closer inspection they were rolled.
I don't understand the reasoning of wanting the modern look of filling the fender wells but not wanting to roll the fenders.

Thanks. I've 14" wheels now and am about to do a 300zx (26mm) brake conversion. I'll need 15" wheels to clear the calipers and I'm trying to figure out what will fit, before I buy them. I'm not looking to fill the fenders and I certainly do not want to have to roll the fenders.

Re: off sets
In that case, go with 15x6 +10 to +20onsight512 wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2019 1:57 pm
