Nissan Parts Still Available

Post by Linusrp »

For those interested, I just received a few genuine Nissan parts that are still available directly through Nissan. Here are the part numbers and prices;

Soft-top weatherstrip front bow
97785-12900 Weatherstrip $24.71

Front Brake Pads-
D1060-65025 Pad Kit Disc Black $46.44

These parts are genuine Nissan parts still wrapped/ boxed. Not aftermarket.
Obviously you can buy these through the various vendors also, but I was able to save a few bucks on each. Never hurts to save for other parts.

Use the carpartsmanual.com you can find Nissan part number. I always try to order from Nissan first. Success rate is about 50%.

purchases include clutch plate, clutch cover, throw out bearing, clutch sleeve and clutch return spring. Have bought twisties for soft top, transmission snap rings, transmission gaskets, overflow coolant tank cap, some transmission bearings, heater hoses...other odds and ends.

I agree Joe. I usually try Nissan first, but my luck has gotten worse the last few years. Used to buy heater cores, ball joints, and tie rods pretty easily just five years ago. But now I am lucky to find brake pads.

Apologies for bumping this thread, but I thought it was relevant...

WARNING: NERD ALERT

Around the same time as the last post on this thread, I was also wondering what parts were still available. Being a giant nerd, I applied a little code to the problem, and came up with this:
Image
(Not everything)

Taking a large list of part numbers, I cross referenced them against Nissan parts DBs for rough availability. Since my car needs pretty much everything, to test it... I ordered a lot of it.

If anyone is interested, I can post back later with a list of what PNs might still be available. (It's going to take me a while to go through the shipment and update my OCD Datsun project spreadsheet.)

I also have a cross-reference list to show where duplicated part numbers are used (mostly fasteners) throughout the car -- but this may be whittled down to '69 2000 (US); it's been a couple weeks since I ran the software so I'd have to get reacquainted to what I did.

If you have the time I’m sure everyone will love it

I was able to purchase the manifold gasket, all the studs washers and nuts to go with it. The nuts are 13mm though so you may want to skip that and find some 12mm ones instead

Amazingly they still have the headlight retaining stainless 'clip' and they are cheap $16.00 each.
