Clutch Master Cylinder Cap -
Does anyone else notice their CMC cap half-way pops off after a drive? Every time I open my hood to examine the engine I notice it is always slightly popped off and I have to push it back down. I am pretty positive nothing is rubbing/hitting the cap to pop it off. Any thoughts on this?

My mirrors are on my fenders. There are no pockets for mirrors but the top would fit fine either way. It is a nice snug fit but not too snug.

Mackn367: Try swapping the cap with the brake M/C and see if the same cap does it there.
There should be an small hole in the caps to vent the reservoir to the atmosphere: it may be blocked

Ok thanks I will check the cap hole and make sure it isn’t blocked and I will also try to switch the brake cap with it and see if it still happens.Nissanman wrote: Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:41 pm Mackn367: Try swapping the cap with the brake M/C and see if the same cap does it there.

Installing a new water pump and since I know everyone doesnt look at my build thread (you should if you arent already haha) I am reposting my question that I asked in my thread here too
Should I put anything on the gasket surface? I already put the other two nuts and bolts on, but they are easy to remove at this point
Any other tips to share now, not an after-the-fact "you should've done this" tips after Ive put it all back together and am driving it

I always use a sealer when liquids are involved, don't want to have to do it over again!

Can this camshaft be salvaged? It is possible to grind this bearing surface down and use bigger bearings? .....like what is done with crank journals?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
I used a Shop in Adelaide that do metal spraying on shafts to restore diameter.
My rocker shaft was badly scored and it came up like new after treatment.
It is a chrome steel finish and will be as robust as anything the engine originally had

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
I think in the states we refer to it as flame spraying. After they build it up it is ground down to the desired diameter. Might cost as much as a new cam though.
