Well, it is a 302.... lol, we got it a year after it was rebuilt by a well-known performance shop in town. The guy we bought it from didnt drive the car(72 mustang needing restoration) the motor was in so the motor doesnt have too many miles on it. But we've had the motor for a few years now and only put about 50 miles on it. It has a 2 barrel carb, i think it has chrome valve covers, and headers. the tranny is a FX i think. All runs strong, but prolly needs a tune up: ex:plugs, wires, points, oil change, tranny fluid change, etc. I will have to check on the price as it is my brothers and not mine.

Yes, and your point is? EFI, 9" LSD rear axle with 2.something ratio, AC if I can wedge it in. Should get great mileage and go really, really fast. Had one that the PO had put a SBC350 and Powerglide into. The frame was cut up so bad that it was scary unsafe. Was in a gas station one day and a kid with a overpowered thumpa-thumpa way too much bass stereo parked behind me and left it on while filling up. My foot slipped when I pulled out and left him in a shower of rubber bits and a big cloud of smoke. Good thing I'm way past that kind of thing now .

I have seen the attempt to put a SBC in one, it was not pretty. I bet it was insanely fast though. Back when I was in the Army, I was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK. A local drag racer was selling his car - an MG Midget. It had a juiced up big block in it, the rear end was bolted DIRECTLY to the frame with no suspension (other than the slicks wrinkle walls), the automatic tranny was so close to the rear end, that there was NO driveshaft. Just a U joint and a yoke. I forget the speeds/times he quoted, but that was an insane car. Oh, it still was street legal there too.
